The Meaning of Life
Life.
The word itself carries a plethora of meanings,
And brings with it, countless emotions.
Often have I pondered my purpose,
Looking for the connotation,
Which has eluded me for so long.
But with a little understanding,
And a little patience,
The question that has plagued my mind for so long,

Panting,
Breathless,
I am lost.
A maze most complex,
Surrounds me completely.

It is your eyes,
That I have been lost in.
Transported by your gaze,
I have come back to reality,
Again overwhelmed by your beauty.
With you, I get to experience this every day.

The truth, as I have always recognized it to be,
Has been that beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
Implying that we can find beauty in all things.
I have observed its use in describing an assortment of phenomenon,
Such as the sun setting in an amber sky,
Or the moonlight dancing on barren waters.
For me, however, I use it to describe Her.
